The Biowärmezentrum Rheinland-Pfalz (Rhineland-Palatinate Biomass Heating Centre) is located in the Hunsrück Technology and Foundation Centre in Simmern/Ohlweiler. It is primarily an information and demonstration centre, with a permanent exhibition of established, sophisticated heating systems that use environmentally-friendly energy sources such as wood pellets, wood chippings and solar power.
It is aimed at those who:
- Are planning to build a new house, or to modernise an existing one.
- Want to replace their existing heating system with an environmentally-friendly, cost-effective and future-proof system.
Visitors to the permanent exhibition experience state-of-the-art wood-burning systems and solar power solutions:
